Finally the Ischgl Ironbike Marathon can take off again — but if you prefer to hit the trails on your own and still don't want to miss out this route, then this collection is just right for you. Just ride the marathon route anyway — as part of the Paznaun Challenge. The Ironbike Ischgl is known as the hardest MTB event in the Tyrolean Alps in Austria. We’ve come up with an alternative to the race, so that you can ride the routes for fun and still compete against others, with great chances of winning! You can take on the Ischgl Ironbike Light & Medium routes on your own, track your time using the Paznaun Challenge App and compete virtually against other riders from 18th June to 17th October 2021.
If you want to take part in the Challenge, you can choose between two tracks. The ‘Light’ route takes you 18 miles (29 km) and includes 2,755 feet (840 m) of climbing, guaranteeing you break into a sweat. With 7,119 feet (2,170 m) of climbing, the 30-mile (49 km) ‘Medium’ route is a real challenge. If you track your ride with the app, you will be included in the rankings. You can even win some great prizes – so what are you waiting for?
Our tip for e-bikers: The e-bike world championship route for everyone can also be cycled as part of the Paznaun Challenge. Track your ride with the app and off you go. You can find more information about the route and the challenge in this Collection.
But how can you participate in the challenge given the current pandemic? Simply download the Paznaun Challenge App, choose a route, and get started! The app records your ride and when you finish one or more of the routes, you have the chance to win a nice prize. Challenge accepted? We are already looking forward to it!
Save-the-date: Moutnainbikers with an appetite for competition can join like-minded people at the start of Ischgl Ironbike on July 17, 2021. The E-Bike World Championship for Everyone only starts a week later on July 14, 2021.
