This four-day road bike trip (which can be extended to a six-day round tour) will take you through the most beautiful parts of Slovenia: capital Ljubljana, the alpine world (Gorenjska) with Lake Bled, Soča Valley, the Gorizia Hills (Slovenian Tuscany), and Slovenian Seaside. Not only the surroundings, but even the paths have everything you could wish for. They are well-paved roads with low traffic and cozy bike paths. I bet you would enjoy the ride even with your eyes fixed on the road! You can arrive in Ljubljana via bus or train. You can also use Airport Ljubljana or nearby airports that are bigger, such as Venetian ones or Trieste Airport. At the end of the Tour, you take a train or bus back to Ljubljana from Koper. However, if you have the energy for two more days, I advise you to cycle back to Ljubljana. The route is not full of attractions, however, it's still worth it. The best is to go to Postojna through Črni Kal and Divača. There you can visit the Postojna Cave Park. For the last day, I recommend you to do a beautiful climb with lots of hairpins through Cerknica and Rakitna - a plateau with a coniferous forest. The best time for the trip is late spring or early autumn because in July and August the places are full of tourists. Don't be too early or too late. Keep in mind that you'll be up to 1000m above sea level and it can get pretty cold in the alpine world.Besides standard accommodation I suggest you to check tourist farms (farmtourism.si) for a local experience. Bear in mind that wild camping is prohibited.

The keyword for this tour is Soča. If you haven't visited it during your stay in Bovec, now you have time to admire its beauty. You ride next to the river for almost 80 km. Most of it will be on local low traffic roads and scenic bike paths without any difficult climbs. Take a refreshing dip in the river
