This magical island only 100km from Cagliari is a delight for lovers of the rough stuff on two wheels, who also enjoy a swim, good food and a little bit of paradise. First settled by the Phoencians in way back when, this island born from volcanic turmoils is now better known in its modern incarnation after being settled by Tabarchini in the 18th century - which explains why the native dialect is more similar to Genovese than Sardinian. History aside, expect steep tracks, the scent of Mediterranean wonder and just good times. Oh and the occasional hike-a-bike.I've cheated and included what is a cracking ride straight from Cagliari Airport that will take you to San Pietro, and also a bit of wandering on Sant'Antiocho and the mainland. Enjoy :)
The off-road sections are tough and in parts unrideable, so give yourself more time than Komoot suggests.
Also not done the final off-road segment up to the lighthouse, looking down from the road though, I'd say expect more hike-a-bike.

Fun little wander that would be possible on a bike for those willing to walk with their bike on the odd section
