When you think of San Diego, you might just think of beaches and fish tacos, but let me show you the best riding in San Diego County.
From group rides to races like the Belgian Waffle Ride to climbing up to Julian, there is something in here for everyone. There is some gravel for sure, but it all can be ridden easily on a road bike.
Apple cider, pies, mountains, and some good weather makes this Collection superb. Get off the coast of San Diego and head to the hills!

We went climbed out of Poway to Ramona and then climbed further on the Old Julian Highway. This road is great and the gradients are gentle. You even see some camels out there.
After getting to San Ysabel, we climbed up to Downtown Julian to get pie and cider! Yum…

On this Tour I was just testing my legs in Poway to see some of the Belgian Waffle Ride roads without racing, and checking out new roads to ride too.
This was a great lap of solid endurance road miles. There isn't anything flat out there, I will tell you!

There are so many ways up Palomar! This day, we decided to conquer the East Grade. It is a little less steep but longer in duration. This is a great ride, and no matter how you climb Palomar, you will enjoy it!

I completed this group ride, organized by the Swami's Cycling Club. It was a fast race ride but super cool to be able to ride through Camp Pendleton.
Camp Pendleton is a Marine Base and you need a sponsor or a DOD pass to get on it, but it is bike friendly and incredible.
