Rugged mountains, idyllic mountain villages nestled on their slopes, deep forests of ancient trees and picturesque orchards lining the roads, this is what makes the varied landscape of the Apennine ridge in Calabria so beautiful. In the middle of this unique mountain landscapes leads the "Ciclovia dei Parchi". It crosses the region lengthwise and covers a protected area of about 350 hectares.

In this collection we show you four marvelous cycling Tours on the "Ciclovia dei Parchi". They will take you through the National Parks Pollino, Sila, Aspromonte and the Serre Regional Natural Park. The routes are always on paved roads and can be done with any bike. As you will have to climb a few meters in the beautiful mountains of the Apennine ridge, some physical fitness will be required.

The northernmost of the four routes leads you along the edge of the Pollino National Park. On your Tour you will enjoy unforgettable views of snow-capped peaks, idyllic orange plantations along the way and the unique nature of the park. Further south, a Tour through the fascinating world of the Sila National Park Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, awaits you. Look out to ancient forests with old pines and glittering lakes. The third Tour takes you through the Serre Regional Nature Park, where you also cycle through deep forests and gain quite some altitude. In the far south, you will enter the beautiful landscape of the Aspromonte National Park, which will leave lasting impressions with its breathtaking nature and imposing rock formations.

Whether you want to conquer all the parks by bike or just enjoy one of the Tours, one thing is for sure in Calabria: unique nature and unforgettable adventures!
